  • Year 11 Football: Withernsea 4 – Wolfreton 3
    The game started at a fast pace, with Withernsea slow to get into their stride. Napier was forced into a great early save and the defence of Frith, Sleight and Coyne under pressure but keeping the attackers at bay.
  • Years 7, 8 and 9 Football - Thursday 28th September
    There were mixed fortunes for WHS teams against Woldgate, with Years 7 and 9 both losing their matches 0-7, while Year 8 fared better with a 4-3 win.
  • Year 11 Football: Withernsea 5 – Hessle 2
    It was a fairly even first 10 minutes with neither side really gaining the upper hand, but the game sprung into life when Barker unleashed a thunderbolt into the far top corner from 35yards.
  • Under 14 Girls’ Football: Hornsea 1 – Withernsea 2
    Huge congratulations to the U14 girls’ football team who secured their first victory of the season last night (Tuesday 26th September) beating Hornsea 2-1 in the National Cup.
  • Year 8 Football: Sirius West 2 – Withernsea 4
    Sirius started the game on the front foot, playing some excellent football and forcing Hunter into some early saves. This continued throughout the first half, but some great blocks by Nimmo, Kitcher and Gant meant the game remained 0-0.
  • Year 8/9 Rugby: Hornsea 22 - Withernsea 24
    On Thursday 21st September, the Year 8/9 boys’ rugby team travelled to Hornsea for the first game of the season.
  • Year 5 and 6 Open Evening
    Our Year 5 and 6 Open Evening takes place on Thursday 12th October, between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.
  • Year 9 students explore careers in STEM
    Over 270 secondary school students from across Hull and East Yorkshire recently enjoyed a day of activities designed to build interest, increase knowledge and promote careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
  • Year 11 Geographers enjoy urban fieldwork experience
    Withernsea High School’s Year 11 Geographers recently visited Beverley where they completed the second of two fieldwork assignments, both of which form a crucial element of their continuing studies.
