    We are delighted to share an update from the leaders of our Paris trip who are currently accompanying a group of around 50 GCSE French and Dance students as they spend an unforgettable weekend immersed in French culture.

    A new edition of WHS Connected, our termly school magazine, has just been released.
  • Online Mental Health Workshops
    During the Easter holidays, the East Riding Mental Health Support Team is running a number of online workshops for parents/carers. These will focus on ‘Behaviour as a form of communication’, ‘Routines and rhythms’ and ‘Understanding anxiety’.
  • Students make a splash at East Riding Swimming Gala
    A group of Year 7 and 8 students took part in an East Riding schools swimming gala at Beverley Leisure Centre, marking the first time the school has been represented at such an event.
  • Board for Change – Spring term update  
    A busy term for the Board for Change has seen its members participate in a training day; assisting with school events and continuing to help drive change across the school.

    Members of the school’s weekly Craft Club used their skills and creativity to make a variety of gifts for Mother’s Day.

    Selected Year 10 students are continuing to benefit from an activity programme led by Hull FC coaches.
  • Year 8 embrace immersive technology for cycling safety
    Year 8 students have been given an opportunity to expand and enhance their road safety knowledge through an immersive reality experience that aims to build confidence with on-road cycling.
  • Collaborative project inspires future healthcare professionals
    As part of an ongoing project to promote job opportunities in health and social care settings, students from selected schools across the region, including Withernsea High School, recently took part in a career insight day at Hull Royal Infirmary.
  • Spotlight on cycle safety
    Students who cycle to and from school were recently given another opportunity to have their bikes serviced and checked for safety.
