News Stories Key Stage 3 Boys’ Basketball Success On Tuesday 20th February, the Key Stage 3 Boys’ Basketball team travelled to Beverley Grammar for an East Riding round-robin tournament - playing games against Beverley Grammar, Hornsea High, Headlands School, and Driffield School. Humberside Cross Country Championship A huge well done to Caitlyn Walker and Jack Doyle who recently qualified for the Humberside Championship finals. U13 Girls' Football: Withernsea 0 - Holderness Academy 4 - The U13 girls' team put in a great effort against Holderness Academy, even though they unfortunately fell to defeat. Year 11 Football: Havelock Academy 1 - Withernsea 7 Congratulations to the Year 11 football team who this week secured a 7-1 victory against Havelock Academy, Grimsby. Year 7 Football: Withernsea 8 - Headlands 0 Congratulations to the Year 7 football team for a great win against Headlands School.- Year 11 Football: Withernsea 7 – Driffield 4
Congratulations to the Year 11 football team who, after a slow start, bounced back to win 7-4 against Driffield. Year 7 seven-a-side tournament Well done to our Year 7 footballers who finished fourth in a very strong seven-a-side tournament last night - Tuesday, 14th November. East Riding Cross Country Championships 30 students from WHS took part in the East Riding Cross Country Championships at Cottingham High School. This was a wonderful turn out to represent the school and a huge improvement from last year, with all students keen to get going!- Under 13 Girls’ Football: Withernsea 1 – St Mary’s 7
Last night (Wednesday, 25th October) the U13s girls’ football team played a tough game against St Mary’s. Under 14 Girls’ Football: Withernsea 7 – St Mary’s 2 A fantastic team performance from the U14 Girls’ has seen them progress to the next round of the National Cup.
