The squad of nine had some relatively new members and some girls played in different positions within the match showing true character and commitment. There were a number of regular players missing, including our goalkeeper (well done Mylie for stepping in!).

Withernsea started strongly but went behind early on after a misplaced goal kick gave the opposition an easy attempt on goal. From then on, the girls battled on and often dominated on the pitch. They played some nice football, linking up well, but just couldn't find that final goal.

Holderness Academy were strong on the attack and scored some good goals. Unfortunately, we couldn't respond to this by finding the back of the net. The game did not reflect the score (final score 4-0) and all girls should be congratulated for their efforts on the pitch.
