  As part of a continuing focus on the benefits of Active Travel, staff and students at Withernsea High School recently enjoyed a day of incentives designed to get the school community physically active on their commute to school.
• Coastal exploration for Geography students
  Blessed with blue skies and sunshine, around fifty Year 10 Geography students recently visited Mappleton and Hornsea to explore the coastline and collect data for their continuing studies in preparation for next summer’s GCSE exam.
• Year 8 Football: Sir John Nelthorpe (Brigg) 3 - Withernsea 2
  Withernsea High School’s Year 8 football team were unlucky to be on the wrong end of the result after putting in a great display against Sir John Nelthorpe school in the Humberside Small School’s Cup Final.
• Cup final success for Withernsea High’s U14 Girls’ Football Team.  
  On Monday, 17th June, Withernsea High School’s U14 (Year 8 and 9) Girls’ Football team travelled to Hull’s St Mary’s College to represent the school in the U14 Humberside Small Schools Cup.

  Staff and students at Withernsea High School have been praised for their determination and compassion after collectively helping to raise over £3,000 for a cancer support charity.

  Last Thursday, June 6, students at Withernsea High School were given time to reflect upon the bravery and sacrifice of those involved in the Normandy Landings eighty-years ago.
