  • Members of Withernsea High School’s weekly running club were among over 100 participants in last weekend’s Withernsea Promenade Parkrun.
  • A film, featuring students from Withernsea High and inspired by the experiences of people dealing with the impact of erosion on the Holderness coast, has won international praise for its portrayal of life by the sea.
  • While at a recent careers fair, Withernsea High School’s Careers Leader, Viki Foster, spoke to representatives from construction company Balfour Beatty who revealed they had recently taken on a former student of the school as an apprentice.  
  • A group of Year 11 students from Withernsea High School have been given an opportunity to explore the wide variety of jobs available within the construction industry at a joint business, trade and careers event.
  • Year 7 students at Withernsea High School are among some of the estimated 35,000 students at schools across Yorkshire who have learnt essential life-saving skills as part of this year’s Restart a Heart campaign.
