Withernsea High School has launched a new Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA), a move designed to strengthen community links and enhance opportunities for its students.
Today, 10th October, is World Mental Health Day. It provides a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if we feel that we need it.
Year 7 students recently enjoyed a performance of ‘What went down…’, a theatre production that combines live performance with an interactive workshop to raise awareness of the dangers faced by young pedestrians.
Congratulations to Rebecca McKee, a teacher of upper strings with the East Riding Schools’ Music Service, who has been named Classic FM’s ‘Visiting Music Teacher of the Year’.
Withernsea High School’s newest learners have taken part in a workshop designed to develop confident communication skills, support their transition to secondary school, and prepare them for further education and future employment.
Our Year 5 and 6 Open Evening takes place on Thursday 9th October, between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.
